  24. use a lens hood, sometimes i even extend the hood by taping a piece of paper on it (to give it extension)... the rest is all post processing.

  30. Hey there, do you know "MagicSFXphoto" (google it)? On their website you will find a smart free video explaining how to make fantastic photos. This made it easier for Joe to create photographs which have that wow-effect when you take a look at them. I hope it will help you also.

  35. How did you get rid of the lens flare when you shoot in direct sunlight. Is it the lens or post process?

    ReplyDelete
  36. @PhotographyLifeStyle I agree with you. I like strobe photography as well, but not so many manipulation and post procesing ^^ Cheers!

that's the type of photography in demand right now. that's why arthur st. john is so popular and has such a strong following. its the use of photoshop, its the manipulation of the images, its the exaggeration of reality that is so appealing. its a different style. some photographers shoot with natural light and do little post processing, other photographers such as arthur st. john will shoot with strobes, even in bright outdoor sun, and do much post processing manipulation. no hate. its all art.

  38. Those are the type of photos that realy hate... and alot of photoshop/manipulation. The lighting doesn't fit the subject in relation with enviroment, color and contrast... Just my opinion i think(by looking at other comments^^)

    ReplyDelete
  43. Love your work, amazing art! I assume you're metering the sky (underxposing in some situations) and the filling with the strobes.
