ReplyDeleteI have a fisheye adaptor on my Nex 5 on the 16mm lens, but it's vignetting. Do you know which setting I have to change to fix this? It's really bugging me!

ReplyDeleteIt is a MUST HAVE for action sports. It has many uses. I was in a hotel the other day. I used it in an elevator. Got the whole elevator and all the people in the shot. You can get everyone in a car or other small place also. Lastly, you can use it just to be creative in certain situations to spice up some video editing. Whatever you desire.

ReplyDeleteI really love this camera! Very nice for my time-lapse movies. I can do time-lapse photography with the NEX using this simple remote intervalometer:TEMPUS. have you tryed it? website at: tempus.bymac.org
ReplyDeleteThe fish eye allows you to see a much, much wider area than the normal lens. Most fish eye attachments, or lenses (this one is an attachment to the 16mm lens) usually cause a bit of barrel distortion... curving at the edges of the image. I just bought the lens and made this quick video and didn't think to show what it was like without the fish eye but I have made other tests on this channel and my ButchNews channel to show the difference with and without.

ReplyDeletevery cool macro lens!! i've got the kit lens only, but i love macro photography, so i'm considering this one. I also to a lot of time-lapse photography with my NEX 5. it would be cool to try some time-lapse with the macro lens, have you tried it? With the nex you gotta use a remote intervalometer for time-lapse. i use this one: tempus.bymac.org

ReplyDeleteThe fish-eye will vignette the image on the 18-55 and was designed for the 16mm lens only. You can check out what happens when used on the 18-55 on another test video on this channel. I can't post a link in the comments box but just look at the uploaded videos on this channel and you will find it. I'll send you the link by message, regards from Butch.

ReplyDeleteYou can't make something that isn't there suddenly be there. The fish eye increases the angle of view by an extra 30 degrees. No editor on Earth or Mars or anywhere else can make something be there you didn't record in the first place.
