how to make a fountain

how to make a fountain - outdoor lighting

how to make a fountain

Building Notes: (depending on pots you choose, your needs may vary) • drain hole in lower pot must be plugged & sealed • drain hole in upper pot needed to be enlarged for hose & lamp wiring. You may wish to remove entire bottom of upper pot to allow access to lamp. I chose to leave it intact to serve as a sort of splash guard for the lamp. • lamp has no switch or exposed electronics in base where leaking water could gather and is secured inside upper pot with liquid nails to prevent tipping. outdoor, waterproof lamps are recommended. bulb is 7.5 watts (nightlight bulb). This seems to match the intensity of the rope lighting well. • lower plexiglass sheet was notched on edge to allow wiring to exit lower pot. • rope lighting is kept securely in place inside lower pot rim by stones only & extra footage is taped up back side of upper pot to create a backlit effect. • all parts are less than 0 at Home Depot. similar fountains are 0-0 online. good luck!

How To Fold A Light Reflector (Photography Lighting Tool) - outdoor lighting

How To Fold A Light Reflector (Photography Lighting Tool)

When I first got this reflector, it took me a while to figure out how to fold it back up into the circle pouch that it came with. I even Google'd for for a "how to" and found very little help. Hopefully this will help you fold your reflector, as it's a lot easier when you can see it, rather than just read a description. It's hard enough to figure out when you're working with a tiny circle one, but with a huge reflector like this (I'm 6'4") and rectangular shape makes it much harder. In case there's any confusion, my hands are at opposite corners, and I twist my hands in opposite directions to fold it up into 3 circular layers. (by Phreaky-Zee)

Hope that was one of Al Gore's 100 year light bulbs in there. It's going to suck when you have to change it.

  7. They make lights for submersion in ponds and fountains. It would be safer to just buy one and use that in case any water leaks. That setup could kill you!!!

  32. This was a revelation. We had spent 3 years trying to fold our daughters castle tent, wich has the shape of your reflector with no succes. We saw your video and my husband managed to get the thing in its pink bag. We are uncertain about our possibilities to succeed again. Saludos
