Solar power isn't as bad as said in this video. Most people don't run the lights all night for every single day. And in winter times you hardly spent time outdoors. So there is no real need to light up your whole garden during the winter. But I agree that when you want to light up the house permanently, for example for security reasons, that you will need quite a bit of power. But if needed solar power can do the job these days.
