Earth Battery Joule Thief LEDs Experiments - outdoor lighting
Earth Battery Joule Thief LEDs Experiments
This is my new and improved earth battery running 4 ultra bright 10mm 28000 MCD LEDs. I am using a standard Joule Thief circuit wound (bifilar) on a ferrite toroid this time. An N3904 transistor, 1k resistor and a 2.3 volt, 10 Farad super capacitor. The earth battery is putting enough out now to not only run these leds, but also charge the cap as you will see when I disconnect it and bring it inside. I can run more. For more information, go to Overunitydotcom in the Joule Thief topic. Thanks.

My negative electrode is a 5 pound block of magnesium. (pure)

You should try magnesium as your negative electrode,,way more power in water or earth.
ReplyDeleteThis type of battery/generator can not be placed in series or parallel. I have tried and so have many others. The Stubblefield coil can be. Check out my latest videos where I light 400 leds from this set up.
ReplyDeleteThanks for your comment.
Bill
deeper cathode , more surface area, farther away from anode, use 2 metals farthest apart as possible on nobility scale of dissimilar metals.. make 10 of these to get 12-14 volts. From my experiments, it seems like 100 ma is doable, so ten of those and you have one amp (of 12V potential).. steady current. the stubblefield coil seems to give more power for the amount of space it uses but takes more materials and work to create, although its more efficient and more power so prob. worth it
ReplyDelete@Pirate88179 @Pirate88179 nobody would care if you cancelled your electric. everyone should, and I mean every single person should cancel their electric all at once and tell them to go f themselves until they find a way to give us free energy. they will have no choice.
ReplyDeleteHa ha...little danger of that at this point. My best thus far is lighting 400 leds from the EB. Now, if I were running my home from it, then they might take notice.
ReplyDeleteBill
careful now,
ReplyDeletedont want to piss off any high level crude oil executives
@ pirate88179 I can imagine, but I would be worried about tainting the soil, if this was somehow reproduced large scale what effect on the environment reacting metals with the earth constantly. But maybe there's a way...
ReplyDeleteWith what I am doing, I agree 100% with this. But, remember that Stubblefield lit his house, and heated his house and ran the telephone system of Murry, KY using his earth batteries. I believe that it can be done, I just don't know how to do it yet.
ReplyDeleteBill
you need to think about the power (wattage) rather than voltage, earth batteries are going to be very large but give out a low current as well as run out after some period meaning it needs to be replaced, if you just step up a 20v 1 Watt input to 230v output you will still only have 1W of power, that wont work to power your house.
ReplyDeleteYou mean to tell me this knowledge is been around since the 1800s and we are now finding out? How many wars could have been avoided if this info had been released sooner? mmm.....
ReplyDeleteThat is what everyone is working toward...we are not there yet. Stubblefield powered his farm with this technology back in the late 1800's.
ReplyDeleteIf I use a series of earth batteries and step-up transformesrs, can I power my house with this technology?
ReplyDeleteI believe you are basically correct but there is much more to it than just that from our research. I use carbon on the positive (meridian north) and magnesium on the neg. (meridian south) If you check out the earth battery topics at OU dot com, you will see how we worked up to this and have now far surpassed this.
ReplyDeleteThanks

HI, Bill. Most earth batteries I've seen seem to work much like a typical chemical reaction battery, using two opposite metals such as copper and zinc. I noticed you are using carbon rods for the positive electrodes, and I'm not sure what for the negative. Would you mind explaining a little the materials and procedure used to construct the type of EB you are using. Maybe you could create a video just on that subject, if you haven't already. Either way, keep up the good work and thank you!
ReplyDeletedepending on the frequencie the joule thief operates, if it's higher than 1ghz it will emit microwave. you don't want to have your brain fried right?
ReplyDeleteWait are you talking about Radiant Energy? I have been dreaming of one day building a Radiant Energy machine that Mr. Thomas Henry Moray built 60 years ago. What topic is this under?
ReplyDeleteThis video was made a while ago. Before I got my big cap (650 F) I could not light cfl's from the ground back then. I could light floro tubes though.
ReplyDeleteThanks,
Bill
Thank you very much. Well, good question. I can run my outside lights for free (I am up to 400 leds so far) by charging up my 650 Farad supercap during the day and using it at night. There is some interesting work being done on overunitydotcom using ground rods and antennas to get real power for free. I have not done this yet but they say the power is there, it is real and it works. Check out the topics over there and join in. I learned a lot about this type of thing there.
ReplyDeleteThanks,
Bill
I've enjoyed your videos this evening. Have you or anyone else made a practical application with this? Like being plugged into a charge controller to trickle charge a battery or bank of batteries for use on demand. Or using multiple earth batteries to create more power? I know there must be good power available either in the ground or the air. My aerials zap(static) me sometimes on my roof with nothing connected to them. Have yet to experiment in the ground though.
ReplyDeleteyou could build them 1 Farad plus or minus, you would have to test the MFD as you stack them and arrange the terminal plates to suit your style needs for the cap.
ReplyDeleteI don't really have a circuit diagram for this particular experiment. all of the components are listed on the right under more info. If you go to Overunitydotcom in the Joule their and Joule thief diagrams topics, you will see schematics of the joule thief. They are simple to make and if you use supercaps and an earth battery, you can replicate this. Also check out the earth battery topics as well.
ReplyDeleteThank you,
Bill
tnx very much for your vids. can you please give a link, so that we can see the circuit plan for the joule thief used with this setting (earthbattery and leds).
ReplyDeletebest gerhard
Hey, none of us got it on the first try, don't give up. Were you able to get it to work with an AA battery first? If not, possibly your modification needs a little tweaking. Did you short or cut the diode on the board? On Overunitydotcom, in the joule thief diagrams topic, we have good instructions on the Fuji mods.
ReplyDeleteBill
That sounds cool. How many Farads are they? I mean, if you made a really big one, how many Farads would it be?
ReplyDeleteThanks,
Bill
