  1. I have a problem, when I compile my map and test it, it's completely black! I have the environmental light, and the skybox. The top of my outer walls are not black but the rest is, can you please help me with this?

  2. Can anyone send me a link for "skybox" for valve hammer editor 3.5? (non source SDK games like counter strike 1.6, ect) thanks in advance if you can find one for non sdk.

  3. Is this error actually preventing your map from running or showing the sky?

    I get this error myself and I don't fully understand the first part ("weren't compiled... same texture and/or same flags"). I'm not actually sure it means anything - some forum searches even suggest it might be a Hammer bug.

    The second part ("can't load...default cubemap") should be irrelevant when you put set up your own cubemaps in your map - I go over this in Tutorial 6.1, replacing the "default".

  5. ehm i get in the compile process window this error message:
    *** Error: Skybox vtf files for skybox/sky_well_01 weren't compiled with the same size texture and/or same flags!
    Can't load skybox file skybox/sky_well_01 to build the default cubemap!
