  1. You're right that the subject would also get too dark. A black net behind the subject could also do the trick though...

  2. Could you also use a neutral density filter in order to keep the background from blowing out or would that cause the subject to become to dark?

  3. I've never had that happen, but they're only aluminum so I could definitely see that being a possibility.

    For dealing with heavy winds, the heavier options from companies like Matthews are a better option. Of course, they're much heavier, so it's a trade-off.
